Orwell 2-light Vanity in Matte Black and Opal Glass
The provided screws that hold the shade to the 3 pronged adapter and not long enough. They are not even the thickness of the glass shades. With or without the rubber washer they are not long enough.
The three pronged adapter hits the top of the glass shade causing the adapter to not sit flush exasperating the screw length issue.
Attached photos are of the three pronged adapter and the screw provided. Showing how little of a gap is between them. Again the glass is thicker than the screw and button provided. The 2nd photo is the gap causing the screw length issue to be worse.

You're right that the screws included with that adapter kit weren't accounting for the glass shade thickness, and combined with the fit of the three-pronged adapter, that left basically no margin to work with. That's on us, and we're sorry for the hassle it caused getting your fixture installed.
We've sent replacement screws that should give you the extra length you need — please let us know if they don't resolve the fit issue.
