Wall Lighting that Works Hard and Looks Effortless
Layer light exactly where you need it. Our wall lights include classic and modern sconces, art-friendly picture lights, and flexible plug-in swing arms—offered in Golden’s most-loved finishes and shade options.
Why wall lights?
- Layered light: balances overhead fixtures and reduces shadows.
- Space-saving: perfect for halls, bedside, reading nooks, and living rooms.
- Task + mood: aim light up, down, or forward for the job at hand.
Quick mounting guides (non-vanity)
- General sconces (hall/living/bed): 60–66 in to center—keep the bulb below eye level to avoid glare.
- Hallway spacing: roughly every 6–8 ft; maintain 84 in head clearance under any projection.
- Bedside swing-arm: center the light ~6–8 in above the top of the mattress; place ~6–10 in to the side of the headboard edge.
- ADA note: In corridors, fixtures mounted 27–80 in high should project ≤4 in from the wall.
Designer tip: Use warm 2700–3000K bulbs and CRI 90+ for flattering, natural color. Add dimmers for evening comfort.
