Transitional Lighting
Timeless—Not Time Capsule
Our Transitional edit blends proportion, comfort, and clarity: think tapered or drum shades, gentle arches, and hardware that’s refined without fuss. Finishes stay versatile—warm brass, matte black, polished/soft nickel, bronze, and crisp white—so pieces layer with both classic and contemporary rooms.
What makes it “Transitional”
- Forms: simple frames, soft geometry, tapered and drum shades, subtle fluting—no heavy ornament.
- Materials: linen/fabric or opal glass for diffusion; clear glass where you want extra sparkle.
- Finishes: modern brushed/aged brass, matte black, polished or brushed nickel, bronze, and painted whites.
- Light quality: choose 2700–3000K with CRI 90+ for flattering, natural color. Add a compatible dimmer for range.
Where it shines
- Dining & Kitchen: drum or linear chandeliers over tables/islands; clear glass for task pop, linen/opal for softer glow.
- Living & Bedroom: fabric-shade chandeliers, semi-flush for lower ceilings, and sconces for layered reading light.
- Bath & Vanity: streamlined bars or side sconces with opal/linen diffusion; damp/wet ratings as needed.
- Entry & Hall: scaled semi-flushes and picture-perfect wall lights for welcoming clarity.
Designer tip: Repeat one metal finish and one shade material at least twice in the room for a pulled-together look.
