Linear Pendants and Chandeliers
Made for Islands and Long Tables
Linear pendants and chandeliers spread light evenly along a countertop or table instead of pooling it in the middle — which is why they're the first fixture we reach for over kitchen islands and rectangular dining tables.
Getting the proportions right
- Length: aim for a fixture about half the length of your island or table — anywhere from one-third to two-thirds reads as intentional.
- Height: hang the bottom 30 to 36 inches above the surface — low enough to light the work, high enough to talk across.
- Families to know: Orwell, Sutton, Serenity, Aenon, Torbellino, and Camden run from champagne and modern brass to matte black and Cordoban bronze.
Designer tip: center the fixture on the island, not the room — the surface below decides the placement.
