We asked “Gee” several questions to help you get to know her better.

What Is Your Title at Golden Lighting and What Does Your Job Entail?

I'm the IT Analyst. Since our company handles so much product, but is still small, my job involves almost all things technology-related. I work with new and experimental changes to improve our efficiency and communication, and I help troubleshoot problems with technology that we may be having. I research technology and software that may help our employees, and I listen to others to hear their ideas about how I can help streamline their work. I work closely with Jinjin, Director of Operations, on projects designed to help our company grow in ways we can maintain throughout the coming years.

What Do You Love/Like About Your Job?

I love using new software, hardware, and new technology in general.

What Are You Excited to Do/Bring to Golden?

I want to make Golden Lighting’s employees happier, and their jobs easier. I am hoping to accomplish this for everyone, a little at a time.

Why Did You Choose Golden Over Other Opportunities?

I chose Golden Lighting because, despite having so few personnel, I noticed that Golden uses a lot of “big company” software and technology. I knew I'd get to learn so much about these tools in a small amount of time.

Where Did You Go to School and What Kind of Degree Do You Have?

I studied Computer Engineering during my stay at Florida State University. Golden is my first technical job outside of school, and I believe, the beginning of a great career.

What Do You Like to Do Outside of Work?

Outside of work, I like to go on small adventures with my brother and a couple friends; sometimes we save up to try something new, like indoor skydiving. Other times, we go kayaking, bowling, hiking, or we do a movie marathon in pajamas. I am also a very large bookworm, thanks to my mom, and have obsessively followed many authors such as John Flanagan (Ranger’s Apprentice series), Jonathan Stroud (Bartimaeus Trilogy), Jerry Spinelli (Maniac Magee), and Shel Silverstein (Falling Up). I also play video games often, and I watch a lot of movies (It’s a small obsession).

What Is Your Favorite Movie?

Among my favorite movies are Clue (1985), Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, Young Frankenstein, History of the World Part 1, Blazing Saddles, and a few blockbuster movie series’ like Jurassic Park.
